We are thrilled to be sponsors of the OACT JBGroup Summer Soccer Camp and spent a very enjoyable afternoon at the official launch.  Despite the sprinklers…!

Our Education and Community Lead Ben Ingham was invited pitch-side to reveal the camp’s brand new banner and he was surrounded by scores of cheering youngsters all having a great time being active and taking part in sports related activities.

Ben said ” This is exactly what we believe sponsorship should look like. JBGroup are proactive and we want to be involved with not just the people receiving the money we donate but the people who benefit from the events and activities. I’ll be here again later this week for the first awards session to hand out certificates and rewards.”

Wendy Noble, Oldham Athletic Community Trust Admin Manager, added “ We’re delighted to have JBGroup on board to assist us with the delivery of our summer holiday activities. This year we have fantastic incentives for the children, such as free season tickets for block bookings. This wouldn’t be possible without their support. Our holiday programme has really grown in popularity in the 18 months that we’ve been running it and the children love the fact that it’s held at the ground and parents and carers like the positive and active approach to what we deliver. We’re fully booked up already and there’s a waiting list for any cancellations.”

Whilst we were there parents were making enquiries about joining in after young people had spread the word via social media and seen the camp in action.

Ben said ” We already sponsor Oldham Athletic Youth Academy and getting on board with the Community Trust was really the next step in our partnership with the club. It’s great fun!”
