Cook Eat Talk - and they did!
Education / Food / News / Oldham Athletic FC on December 17, 2014
We hosted another in our very successful #cookeattalk workshops this week and this time the challenge of encouraging people to choose, cook and eat healthy food was a tough one!
Afruj Chowdhury and his team from Stirring Flavours were faced with the Youth Academy from Oldham Athletic Football Club and as Academy sponsors we were tasked with helping to convince them it was a good idea!
Excuses for not cooking at home ranged from having mums that spoiled them to not being bothered. However after only a few minutes all the lads were enthusiastically mixing ingredients and choosing how much Chili they really thought they could handle in their own hand-made burgers. Some were a little optimistic and plenty of water was on standby when it came to eating lunch! Click here for the video and here and finally here
And as for talking well that was never going to be a problem. All the lads agreed it had been a great experience and we’re now planning to work with them as Ambassadors for #cookeattalk when it goes into local schools. If you would like to know more about the project click here
